An innovative mobile plant, machinery and drilling rig repair service aims to help civil engineering, construction and building companies in the south east of England reduce their downtime.
The mobile repair service has been launched by Nottinghamshire-based Euro Repair. It will see the company’s team of engineers travel to sites across England to fix heavy plant and machinery.
Euro Repair MD Jeremy Moore explained that the idea came in response to customer demand and personal experience.
He said: “Through our sister company Meridian Drilling we know exactly how important it is to keep machinery running and when something happens, get it fixed quickly.
“Euro Repair has offered onsite support to drilling clients in the past, but we wanted to extend that help to all of our plant and machinery customers who maybe don’t have the need for an in-house repair and maintenance team.”
The company has invested in a new mobile workshop, which has been kitted out to tackle repairs to plant and rig machinery, including onsite welding. There is also an all-day hotline, which companies in the south east of England can call for help.
Moore added: “Initially the service will cover England, including the south east. However if there is enough demand, we would look to add more mobile workshops and cover other parts of the UK.”
The mobile service will cover everything from minor works such as beacons, switches and wipers through to more comprehensive work including plant refurbishment, modification and fabrication.
